LIMA — Lima Municipal Court Judge Tammie Hursh on Wednesday set bond at $1 million for Jolade Reginald Omosikeji Jr., who is charged with murder in the June 14 shooting death of Lima resident Christian Laws.
Omosikeji will return to the municipal court at 9 a.m. Monday for a preliminary hearing, at which time prosecutors will present arguments to have the case bound over to Allen County Common Pleas Court.
During Wednesday’s brief hearing, which took place via video conferencing, the 20-year-old defendant had his rights explained, and Hursh said an attorney would be appointed to represent him prior to his next court appearance.
