A Columbus woman was killed Thursday morning in an Allen County crash that sent her car skidding into a field and left another vehicle on its side.
Lima troopers say 23-year-old Tashonda Ward was pronounced dead at the scene. They believe she was heading south on Thayer and stopped at the stop sign at State Route 309. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened after Ward pulled out in front of the pickup truck driven by 58-year-old Mark Oberly of Harrod.
Oberly was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Troopers say a 2-year-old in Ward's car was not properly restrained in a car seat and was ejected on impact. He had just minor injuries and was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital.
