LIMA — A new trial date has been set and a psychological examination has been approved for a Delphos teenager accused of severely beating his 2-month-old daughter.
At the request of defense attorney Kirk McVay from the state Public Defender’s office, a competency examination has been ordered for Anthony Denoyer at the Forensic Psychiatry Center of Western Ohio in Dayton. A trial date of Aug. 18 has now been scheduled.
Denoyer, 19, faces two charges of felonious assault, second-degree felonies that include a specification for causing permanent disabling harm to a child less than the age of 10. He also faces three counts of endangering children and two additional counts of felonious assault.
