LIMA — Two officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and West Central Ohio Crime Task Force who fired the fatal shots that left a Lima man dead earlier this month will not face criminal charges.
A grand jury met Tuesday to hear evidence in the “officer-involved” shooting at 218 W. Michigan Ave. in Lima that left 57-year-old Keith Burkholder dead in his residence.
Putnam County Prosecutor Gary Lammers, appointed as the special prosecutor in the investigation, said during a press conference this morning that the grand jury “found no probable cause to return (criminal) charges against any of the officers involved.”
