LIMA — A Dayton psychologist has determined that a Lima man is mentally competent to stand trial on aggravated robbery charges.
Deshawn Porter, 26, of Lima, appeared in Allen County Common Pleas Court Wednesday with his attorney to hear Judge Terri Kohlrieser discuss the findings of his court-ordered competency hearing. Kohlrieser said it was determined by doctors at the Forensic Psychiatry Center for Western Ohio in Dayton that Porter “is currently capable of assisting with his defense and is competent to stand trial.”
His jury trial is tentatively scheduled to begin Jan. 27, 2020.
