LIMA — A Lima man was sentenced last week in Allen County Common Pleas Court to five years in prison on a charge of felonious assault, a felony of the second degree.
Court documents indicate Scott Waterman, 59, attacked his victim with a baseball bat.
According to Lima Police Department Detective Kent Miller, at approximately 4 p.m. on Nov. 23 of last year, Waterman was involved in an altercation with Larry Money inside their residence at 130 E. Kibby St., Lima. Waterman reportedly armed himself with a baseball bat and choked Money by holding the bat across his throat. He then reportedly struck Money in the head with the bat, resulting in injuries that caused Money to be transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s and subsequently to be transferred via Life Flight to OSU Wexner Hospital in Columbus.
