LIMA — The Lima Police Department bike team seized a supply of the synthetic opioid carfentanil Thursday.
At about 8:30 a.m., officers noticed two people in the parking lot of McDonald’s, 525 W. Market St., acting suspiciously. After conducting a vehicle check, officers found 57 grams of carfentanil along with a large amount of cash, according to a release from the Lima Police Department.
Arrested at the scene were Nancy Garza, 32, of Lima, and Shawn Starcher, 29, of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Both have been charged with suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Garza and Starcher are being held at the Allen County Jail.
